We have had such a rainy summer and the day of this engagement session was so exception. Anthony & Shalimar really wanted to represent Charlotte in their engagement photos and wanted them to have an urban feel. We knew there was a chance for rain but we took a chance. Charlotte is about an hour or so travel for us so we really had no clue what the weather would be like in Charlotte although we drove through a monsoon to get there-I am pretty sure the rain was following us 😉 Of course, when we got there it was raining cats and poodles and it was VERY dark! So, what do you do? You go out in the rain, play in the puddles and get some romantic rainy photos! We had a super short window of about 15 minutes to get these shots but I am very pleased with them! The city lights look extra special in rain and I love the romance of them. We will get together another day to hopefully do some sunny day photos but I think these were a definite WIN! Moral of the story….when life throws you rain on your engagement photo day…ROLL with it!
